Job Description
Pickering Casino Resort is currently recruiting for 2nd Cook. This position is responsible for ensuring quality food preparation for service. Tasks include food preparation as well as maintaining cleanliness of work area. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:
- Must possess inter-provincial journeymen's papers or must meet the minimum. requirements for writing the exam within 6 months.
- 2-3 years cooking/training in a class hotel kitchen as a 3rd Cook or equivalent.
- 2-4 years pastry experience.
- International, volume and line cooking experience preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a high degree of self-motivation.
- Is innovative and creative.
- Must be able to lift 25 kg.
- Successful candidate must have proven customer service skills with both staff and guests.
Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule. The scheduled hours of work will be based on customer and business needs.
