    We are currently looking for "Medical Case Manager" for an immediate contract with our client in Canada. This is a 12-month contract opportunity and work is 100% remote.

    This is a non-clinical position, however a background in clinical nursing, disability management and public health is useful. A successful candidate will be responsible to accomplish department objectives by:

    Organizing, implementing, and monitoring interconnected projects, deciding on suitable strategies and solutions, as well as coordinating cross project activities related to responsibilities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate expertise in medical case management, confidentiality, and privacy of personal health information.
    • Provide advice and counsel to business unit leaders, HR partners, managers and employees on a variety of topics and questions related to medical case management, vendor adjudication decisions, disability benefits, workplace accommodations, referrals to employee assistance program, public health, pandemic protocols and health promotion.
    • Demonstrate knowledge of applicable occupational health & safety regulations, AODA, CSST, CNESST Quebec, and WCB/WSIB programs across Canada.
    • Interpret global, country specific regulations, HR guidelines and policies that reference an employee's ability to either return to work or remain at work.
    • Accountable for individual and team results. Work on special projects, develop and implement medical case management services.
    • Apply continuous process improvement methodology for assigned programs and Health & Safety processes, while maintaining compliance, especially for medical case management.
    • Maintain excellent service delivery by enforcing quality and global standards, analyzing and resolving employee concerns and recommending solutions, organizing and prioritizing work effectively and be agile in a dynamic environment.
    • Meet with stakeholders, including vendors (adjudication vendor) to make communication easy and transparent regarding projects and decisions on services in a professional manner.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending/completing professional development courses, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking best practices and/or membership in professional organizations.
    • Analyse data to create accurate and timely reports.
    • Assist and team with key stakeholders in the delivery of health promotion deliverables, and
    • Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of public health and/or non-clinical nursing to develop policies and programs that address emerging health issues and provide pandemic support.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in medical/disability case management
    • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, problem solving and judgment skills
    • Proactively engaged self-starter with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
    • Ability to be an independent problem-solver with minimal supervision
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred:

    • Certification in disability case management
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in project/program management
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in occupational health services
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in clinical/non-clinical nursing or public health
    • Proficient in English and French
